Three Steps to Persistence ?

Three Steps to Persistence ?

Good afternoon!

How many times have you started something and then stopped? I am guilty also, don’t worry.

An entire population can testify, but the solution is not talked about nearly enough as it should be. The solution is Persistence. Persistence is defined as firm continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty and opposition.

In today’s email, we will look at four steps to Persistence from the book, Think and Grow Rich.

“Persistence guarantees that results are inevitable.”

– Paramahansa Yogananda

1. A Definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillment.

How bad do you want it? Persistent people have a strong urge to win, and it helps them push through any hardships or struggles that are sure to come.

2. Change may be scary, but it’s vital for growth.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to make a plan and work the plan. It’s easier to get to a destination if you have the directions.

3. A mind closed tightly against negative and discouraging influences

“You’re crazy. That will never work.” Have you ever had a friend or family member say your goal or idea will never work? It can be deeply discouraging and possibly even stop you from trying. Persistent people put up blockers when faced with negativity. It doesn’t even enter the brain; it’s stopped at the door.

Keep going!
