“Visualization is daydreaming with a purpose.”
– Bo Bennett

1. Become a Master of Visualization ?
What you listen to, see, and say is what you will become. Your environment is molding you into the person you will become in the future, whether you know it or not.
Now, imagine this: What if you could create the world of your dreams? Anything you can think of is at your leisure.
Let’s do an exercise. Close your eyes for 30 seconds and answer this question…If everything on Earth was free, what would you get? Now, close your eyes for 30 seconds, and then come back to this email.
Did you find yourself struggling to come up with the right answers, or were the thoughts endless? Either way, you are now going to learn the art of visualization. According to dictionary.com, visualization is defined as a technique involving focusing on positive mental images to achieve a particular goal. The pictures in your mind as you did the exercise are the product of visualization. And you can have anything you can imagine.
To become a master of visualization, you first need to focus on one area of your life. After you pick the area you really want to focus on, you need to identify the reason why you want to make a change. It’s easier to believe in success if you can see it happening right in front of your eyes.
If you want to change by gaining patience, then you need to visualize a patient version of yourself.
2. Become a Master of Self-Awareness ?
Now, shift your focus towards awareness. This means being conscious of any decision you make, and as a result, making better decisions.
For example, let’s say you decide to get out of debt. To improve your financial situation, you must be mindful of every dollar you spend. To do so, you would have to keep track of everything you buy, ensuring that you’re fully aware of your decisions. Keeping track of your decisions motivates you to make even better decisions in the future. This compounded effort will eventually lead to change.
Self-awareness includes a person’s knowledge of his or her own beliefs and goals. Someone who is extremely self-aware understands where they are going and why they are going there. As a result, they will be able to recognize if something is not going right in their life. They will be able to discern what changes they need to make and work on a plan to execute. An individual who lacks self-awareness is more likely to make choices that cause internal struggle.
Self-aware individuals may also be identified by their confidence. They are certain in their abilities and are less likely to set themselves up for failure. They even know when to seek assistance. And they weigh the risks they encounter throughout everyday life. They won’t ask for a challenge they know they won’t be able to meet on their own. They’ll play to their advantage to reach their end goal.
If you master emotional intelligence, you will master this journey of life!
You got this. Keep going!
