Good morning! Have you ever thought about what separates the great achievers from the average achievers?
Why is it that you can take two random people, give them the same opportunities, and one person will succeed, while the other fails?
The answer to both questions isn’t complex at all. It’s the little things.
The little things separate the good from the great. The little things expose those who are committed to excellence from those who are not.
Blimish was created to build imperfect people for a better tomorrow. If we are going to accomplish this goal, we need to make sure you are doing the little things.
There are a lot of little things to cover, but in this email, we will look at three:

“I try to do the right thing at the right time. They may be little things, but usually, they make the difference between winning and losing.”
– Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

1. Choose Your Struggle
In the military, one of the assignments every person has to do daily is make their bed. History has proven that performing assigned tasks at regular intervals builds discipline.
Many believe the main reason for military training is to build discipline. Making your bed may seem like a pointless exercise, but its significant results in bringing order to the chaos in our lives.
2. Show Up On Time
Are you late to every appointment? Or most appointments at that? It may not seem like a big deal, but it is. When you commit to a time without following through, you are not staying true to yourself. If you believe you are an honest and committed person, you need to do the work. You need to hold yourself accountable.
If you show up on time to every engagement, you will build up a high level of trust within yourself and with others.
3. Tell The Truth
This one might seem self-explanatory, but there are so many people who have a habit of telling small white lies. If everyone in the world told the truth, the world would be a lot more equitable. We would see a lower divorce rate, a higher employment rate, and an overall greater quality of life.
Telling the truth will also help you save a lot of time in life. Think about this – If you go on a first date or you go in for an interview, and you put on a facade based on what you think the other person wants to hear, you are setting yourself up to be disappointed. The facade will wear off eventually, and the other person will discover the truth. At this point, all the time you have spent building the relationship will go to waste!
All of this can be avoided if you tell the truth. Remember, it’s the little things.
