Good Afternoon!
Do you know the secret to living a life filled with happiness? It’s actually not a secret at all. The best-selling author of “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It,” Kamal Ravikant, suggests that the secret to life is simply “loving oneself.”
External issues have a significant effect on the well-being of many people. There’s no shortage of media outlets spewing all the many things wrong in the world. Although we can’t directly control what goes on in the world, we can control how we feel about ourselves. So, in today’s email, we’ll look at 3 steps to love yourself daily. Get ready 🙂
1. Create a Positive Mental Loop
Self-love is similar to a groove in a rock created by water. The density of the water will eventually create a river if you give it enough time; this is how the mind operates. Something that you think about just once won’t have much of an influence on you. But if you consciously start to think about it again and again, it finally forms a groove in your mind and flows into the river you can’t control. This idea explains why using positive mental loops regularly is one of the secrets to loving yourself. Continue to tell yourself, “I love myself.” Then, if you can, increase the emotional intensity to deepen the groove more quickly. Try to love yourself with the same intensity you would use to pull yourself up if you were hanging off a cliff with your fingers.
2. Develop a Meditation Routine with Music
It doesn’t take much to meditate. If you’re new to meditation, you can use music to help. You don’t need anything spectacular to do this.
Follow these steps to do your meditation correctly:
• With your headset on, put on music that boosts positive feelings. (here’s an example)
• Sit with your back against a wall or window. Cross your legs or straighten them out, whatever works for you.
• Close your eyes, imagine a beam of light shining onto your head from above, and smile slowly.
• Breathe in and say to yourself: “I love myself” say it slowly and be gentle.
• Breathe out and exhale anything that’s not wanted. It could be a thought, emotion, memory, fear, hope, or desire. Breathe it out. No judgment, no attachment to anything.
• Repeat steps four and five until the music stops.
• When the music stops, open your eyes slowly. Smile genuinely. This moment is yours, so own it.
3. Use Self-Love as a Detour for Negativity
Learning to manage and regulate your emotions is necessary, so you keep your temper in all situations and never lose control. First, channel your emotions through breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, or sports. Then, try your best to understand and control them without fighting the urge of an impulsive response.
Be patient. Nothing good comes easy; it may take weeks or months, but you will notice a change in your life.
Keep going!
