How To Build Your Network in 30 Days

How To Build Your Network in 30 Days

When the first day of a month lands on Sunday, it signifies the perfect day to hit the reset button. The month of April, and its highs and lows, is now over. Let May be the month where you take full ownership of your life.

Today, I will give you encouragement and an action plan for taking responsibility for your network in the next 30 days.

It’s essential to understand why you should make an effort to think about your network often.

The people around you naturally affect who you are and who you’re becoming. Since moving to Paris, I’ve been using this quote as motivation: “You’re always one connection away from dreams.”

Here’s an example. Many issues revolve around money. All of your money must come from other people. Meeting the right people will help you make the money you deserve and live the life you desire.

This email will discuss three action items for building your network in 30 days.

“People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.”

1. Set goals of what you want to do

What do you want to accomplish in the next 30 days? Deciding what you want to do will help you determine who you need to connect with. Please give it some thought, but don’t think too deeply to the point where you don’t write anything down. Once you have things in mind, write them down somewhere.

2. Set your goals for who you want to meet

Now, take your goals, and think about who could be a good person to talk to for guidance. For example, if your goal is to try a new dinner recipe, think of someone who is an amazing chef. If you want to start a new book, think of someone who is an avid reader. Write down the names of 5 people who are relevant to your goals.

3. Write it down on a piece of paper

Lastly, you want to write down your goals on a sheet of paper and decide when you will reach out to your connections. You just want to have a conversation and share what you’re doing. Here is a good introduction sentence. “Hey, I hope you’re well. I’m reaching out because I just set a goal to _, and I know you’re an expert. Do you have any advice for me, or can you give me any resources to help me reach my goal?”

These three simple exercises will remind you of the importance of people. If you complete it, you WILL get a positive result. Lastly, write down your goals two more times. Take a picture of your them and make the picture your phone’s home screen so you see it daily.

Reply, “I’m in!” if you will take this challenge in the next 30 days. Let’s call it the “One Connection Away” Challenge.

Keep going!
