Good afternoon!
Welcome to September. The first Sunday of the month is the perfect opportunity to create a new habit in your life. Have you heard of a mini habit?
A mini habit is when you start taking baby steps toward building a new habit you want to form. Start by running a mile every day if you’re going to run a marathon. Once you start running the mile easily, begin running farther distances.
By definition, a mini habit can’t be difficult. Sometimes people tend to allow big goals to take up most of their attention, but they fail to realize that everything is small at first. In this email, we will go over a step-by-step guide to help you identify the small habits you need to create and the most effective methods for doing so.

“Successful people are simply those with successful habits.”
– Brian Tracy
Step 1: Choose your mini habits
Make a list of habits you’d like to develop in the future. You might wish to start reading one book per month. Read two pages daily for a week, then two more pages, and so on.
Step 2: Define your why
So, you made a list of habits you wish to build. Now ask yourself why. Keep asking the question until you get to the core reason. (It usually takes about seven whys to get to the core.)
Step 3: Define your habit triggers
The two common triggers are activity-based and time-based. When the mini habit becomes easy or takes you less time than before, it may be time to add on more of a challenge.
Step 4: Come up with rewards
Even if your habit is annoying to do, you can create motivation by telling yourself that there is a reward for completing it. When you develop a suitable reward, difficult tasks no longer feel like a punishment.
Step 5: Write it down
When you materialize ideas in writing, they become tangible. Make sure you write your mini habits down. Put pen to paper.
Step 6: Start small
Break everything into manageable chunks. To achieve huge things, start small.
Step 7: Be kind to yourself
Having high expectations increases your anxiety about failure. Sticking to your habits on a regular basis is much more important than beating yourself up for failing to move heaven and earth.
Step 8: Take it slow
The Mini Habits approach is effective, but you must be careful not to go too quickly. You can advance to the next level only when you are comfortable and confident performing what you have decided to accomplish.
Keep going!
