Good morning! Welcome to a new month and the 4h Quarter of 2021! What are you going to do differently to make sure you end the year strongly?
We’ve talked about the power of the reset button, and it received great feedback. Today, I’d like to unlock a good companion for the reset button… Stillness.

“Be still and know that I am God.”
– Psalm 46:10

When a season is coming to an end, it is normal to feel a little hectic, and therefore make decisions quickly. However, the more productive reaction is to allow a sense of calm to take over your body.
As you attempt to find calmness, here are 3 ways to be still and give up the false belief of control:
1. Look Outdoors
Nature is a constant reminder of the beauty of our Creator. Have you ever stopped to look at the sky, and ponder at the vibrancy of the color? What about the creatures living outdoors? Think about the process of a bird hatching from an egg and growing into a majestic being with the power to fly over us all. It is easy to get caught up in our own lives and forget that we are living in a miraculous world. Be still and remember the beauty of the outdoors.
2. Look at Others
Are you a “people watcher”? I am guilty of it. I enjoy looking at random people and observing the moves they make and habits they have. I like to make up stories in my head about who they are and what they do. This may seem weird to some (oops), but observing people is observing the many views of our Creator. Looking at others can help you to be still by redirecting your attention. There is no right or wrong way, so there shouldn’t be any pressure to perform. This is not a call to be rude or nosy. Instead, this gives you a chance to truly absorb what is happening around you at any given moment.
3. Look Within Yourself
Now finally, be still by looking inward. Here’s the deep part…If you’ve been a Blimish subscriber from the beginning, then you already know quite a bit about self-awareness. Today, I want to challenge you to look within yourself and ask a few questions: -Has there been a significant shift in your mindset lately? -What has brought you peace in the last month?-What areas of your life do you hope to see an increase?
Be still and ask yourself these questions. There are no right or wrong answers. If you would like to type the answers out, reply to this email and share them with us.
Keep going!
