Are you ready for elevation?

Are you ready to elevate?

Good morning! Welcome to the first Sunday of the last month of the year! There are only 3 more left, can you believe that? This year has flown by. For some people, this year was an answer to many prayers – for others, it was a year where many prayers were sent up. No matter what side of the totem pole you’re on, know that growth happened this year. Acknowledge it and be proud of it!
This email will look at one tip for handling the attention that comes with your elevation.

“With great power comes great responsibility.”

Don’t cheat the introspection process.

Your calling will require you to change some things about yourself. Change should not be intimidating; it should be celebrated. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “you can’t fix a problem with the same mind that created it” or “you can’t put new wine into old wineskins.”Simply put, new responsibilities will require a new you. The introspection process allows you to examine yourself and take note of anything that is not helping you become your best self. Oxford dictionary defines introspection as “the examination or observation of one’s own mental and emotional processes.”

I want to give you a few questions to get you started on the introspection process. I challenge you to sit with these questions this week and write down your answers.

  • How do I react in difficult situations?
  • What is my response when things don’t go as planned?
  • What is my response when things do go as planned?
  • Is there a disconnect between where I am now mentally and where I hope to be in the future? If so, what am I lacking?

Don’t skip the introspection process as you prepare to grow to the next level.
Be sure to come back next week as we discuss another step to prepare for the attention that is coming with your elevation.
Keep going!
