3 Strategies for a Stronger Connection With Your Loved Ones

We are better together. Never forget.

Good morning! Hopefully, you had a fantastic weekend filled with love and thanksgiving. The holiday season gives us the time to gather with loved ones and connect in a unique way.
It is scientifically proven that humans need to connect with others in order to remain healthy, both physically and emotionally.

Although Covid-19 has changed the way we connect with others, it is still possible to build and grow with your loved ones on a daily basis.

In today’s email, we will look at 3 strategies for helping us strengthen our connection with loved ones during this difficult time.

“My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”

Desmond Tutu

1. Make sure you spend a little time with your loved ones daily, in some way.

Whether it be a FaceTime call, text message, or social media message, Challenge yourself to engage with a loved one every day. Create a habit of reaching out to check in with someone. You never know what others are going through. One simple message could be exactly what a loved one needs to get through a tough season.

2. Cut out the distractions when you’re spending time — put your phone down!

Now I know that some of you may use your phone for business or school or something else important, but when you’re spending time with loved ones, please be aware of the time you’re spending on your phone. Your phone can be a big distraction and take away from the intimate time your loved ones want to spend with you. You can only focus on one thing at a time, so when you are with your loved ones, place your focus on them. They will appreciate it, and you will cherish it too.

3. Help others as much as you can

A simple way of showing your love for another person is by offering a helping hand. People in today’s society have become so accustomed to independence and doing things on their own. Although it’s good to be independent, it’s a special feeling to be reminded that there are people in life to help make your life easier. You can be that reminder for a loved one.

Tell a loved one that you love them today and use these strategies to strengthen your connection with all of your loved ones in your life!

I hope today’s email acts as another perfectly laid brick as you build your stairway to success.
