Good morning! Today we will explore a little science. Don’t worry, it won’t be like the Science class we had in school. There’s no diagrams, dissecting animals, or periodic tables. In this email, you will learn the science of the mind – positive psychology .
Usually, psychology is related to the negative aspects of life, such as addictions, worries, and phobias. However, the opposite is also true. Positive psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on the positive aspects of life.
What makes life worthwhile to live?
How can we live a happy life?
Positive psychologists’ findings on how to live a happy life are gaining popularity. So, let’s take a look at one of their discoveries today:
A full life includes good work, love, play, and service.

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is ‘What are you doing for others?’ “
– Martin Luther King, Jr.

Psychologists believe that our leisurely activities reveal a lot about how happy we are in life. Playful activities teach lessons that make the difficult duties of work and love easier.
Work, love, and play provide another beneficial way to organize positive psychology concerns. However, it is not a psychological process that makes life worth living; it is work, love, play, and service to others.
Although work, love, and play provide a helpful insight into the idea of positive psychology, it is only a portion of the full pie. Work, love, play, and service to others make life worthwhile.
Many people could look at service and love as the same thing, but a deeper dive into the meaning of the two words reveals the distinction.
Service is more wide ranging, referring to ties with bigger groups or goals. Whereas, love is one-to-one, referring to relationships with individual others – spouses, children, co-workers, and neighbors.
The proper execution of these four areas may seem like a large task, but they are already present in your life today. I challenge you to be intentional with your work, love, play, and service – and know that you are living a life of purpose and meaning.
I hope this email acts as a brick being perfectly laid on the stairway to greatness.
Keep going!
