Just pick one… 1️⃣

Just pick one… 1️⃣

Good morning! Do you find it hard to make a decision when you’re faced with multiple options?

Do you ever feel like you have TOO many ideas & you know you can’t do them all at the same time?

My guess is that you can probably answer yes to one, if not both, of the questions mentioned above.

If you’re reading this email, it means that you are an active seeker of wisdom and understanding. You are determined to make the best out of your time here on Earth.

The Good Book says in Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

But what happens when you see a handful of doors?

Anxiety and confusion erupt internally when you are blessed with a handful of ideas to push the needle forward, and it feels impossible to act on everything at once. The indecisiveness can sometimes lead you to do nothing at all. So the message for today is, “just choose one“.

Here are three tips for making the right decision:

“It isn’t where you come from; it’s where you’re going that counts.”

Ella Fitzgerald

1. Choose What Gives You The Greatest Benefit

“Never feel bad for doing what’s right for you.”

When you’re making a decision about your future, it is OK to be selfish.

You have to make the decisions that will help you most. If you’re struggling with identifying the benefits, make a pro/con T-chart. If you’re having a hard time identifying the benefits of a decision, maybe you should consider a different option.

2. Choose What Gives You The Greatest Return

Second, you have to choose what gives you the greater return. Have you heard of ROI?

ROI = Return on Investment

When you decide to do something, you are making an investment. You’re investing your time, your energy, and your efforts.

These are important aspects of life and they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

When you’re faced with an important decision, figure out which option will give you the best return.

3. Choose What Your Gut Feeling Says

I’ve written about your gut feeling before, and I probably will again after this. Your gut feeling is your intuition. The voice in your head that tells you that you’ll regret if you do or don’t do something.

When making an important decision, listen to your body. Studies reveal that your gut is directly connected to your brain. Never second-guess your intuition.

Having to constantly make important decisions is difficult. However, remember to choose the ones that will bring the greatest benefit, ROI, and don’t ignore your gut feeling. This will help the decision-making process less burdensome.

Keep going!
